The tournament essentials.

Format & qualification

18 teams play in four groups: Groups 1 and 2 have four teams each; Groups 3 and 4 have five teams each. Each team plays every other team in its group. The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals.

Incomplete round-robin matches earn zero points. Ranking uses points, then net games won. If teams remain tied, an organizer must resolve the final order before qualification is confirmed.

Match scoring

• Best two out of three sets.
• Straight-set win: 3 points to the winner, 0 to the opponent.
• Three-set match: 2 points to the winner, 1 to the opponent.
• Record the games in each completed set for tiebreak calculations.
• Deuce / advantage scoring. At 6–6, play a tiebreak to 7, winning by 2 points.
• Use a new tin of Adidas balls unless both teams agree otherwise.
• Prison rules govern all play. When in doubt, play a let.

Scores & scheduling

On Matches, select To arrange, then Email all four players to start a scheduling thread. Use Reply All to agree on a date, time, venue, and court, keeping the tournament inbox copied. A recognized player’s clear confirmation updates the site after the next inbox check, usually within five minutes. Ben Cheng will coordinate with Diego on court blocks. The dates below are playing windows; individual match times must be arranged.

Assigned players and organizers can post completed sets. Updates refresh every 10 seconds. Clear result emails from recognized players are confirmed automatically; unclear reports need organizer review before results are published.
